Arthritis is a general term given to a group of diseases that have pain and joint inflammation in common, the two most common types being osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. One in 10 Canadians suffers from osteoarthritis, while one in 100 suffers from rheumatoid arthritis.

With this presentation, you will be able to inform your patients about the differences between osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, the goals of treatment for each, medications used in their treatment and lifestyle measures to improve quality of life.
